We will be comparing Jimmer’s season to some of the other point guards who were rookies last year.

We will be watching the following players:

Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers – 1st overall selection
Ricky Rubio, Minnesota Timberwolves – 5th overall (2009)
Brandon Knight, Detroit Pistons – 8th overall
Kemba Walker, Charlotte Bobcats – 9th overall
Iman Shumpert, New York Knicks – 17th overall
Norris Cole, Miami Heat – 28th overall
Isaiah Thomas, Sacramento Kings – 60th overall

We will rank the players from 1-8 (1 being the best) in the following categories:

-Minutes per point
-Minutes per assist
-Minutes per steal
-Field goal percentage
-Three point percentage
-Free throw percentage
-Assist/Turnover ratio

The average ranking in all 7 categories is then calculated to determine the rankings.

The lower the score the better the ranking.
